Mission

To foster educational programs and to relieve poverty for socioeconomically underprivileged communities in Taiwan, China, and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

History

Truelight Educational Foundation was officially established and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization in Santa Clara County, California, in 2022.

However, the Foundation’s services were started more than 30 years prior by Professor Adam Chao, the late father of Truelight’s founder, Sulaiman Chao. Professor Adam was invited from Taiwan to work for Malaysia’s leading da’wah organization, PERKIM, to promote da’wah for social harmony among the Malaysian Chinese during the 1970s-1980s. After retirement, Professor Adam settled in the United States in 1986. From then until his passing in 2003, he successfully accomplished the following projects under the title of “真光社” (or “Truelight Society” in Chinese):

  1. Monthly publication and distribution of da’wah articles in Traditional Chinese
